Seattle’s International Working Women’s Day for Palestine and Beyond

"We stand in solidarity with our Palestinian siblings in Gaza and those among our community who are directly and indirectly affected by the current war and genocide by the Israeli settler-colonial regime. Passive observation of the horrors of bombings, genocide, and prolonged apartheid is not our way. We must rise and firmly proclaim that Palestinian Liberation is a Feminist Imperative." - Feminists for Jina Seattle

By Derek Michael Besant in Berczy Park, Toronto, Canada.

Canadian artist Derek Michael Besant created this “trompe l’oeil” mural on the back of the Gooderham Building in 1980. The mural appears to be a canvas screwed onto the façade with the edges of the canvas fluttering in the wind.

Cat in London by Neon Artist David Speeduk

Street Artist David Speeduk

By David Speeduk in London, UK. Photos by Vera Mills and A Human Perspective.

David Speeduk: So cats.. Whenever I bump into people in the street, one of the most common comments is about my cats. I’ve painted well over 200 neon paintings, only 8 of those have been cats. One of the reasons I started painting in neon was because it stood out and set my work forward. If the cats are so remembered, there must be something that stands out about them – probably something I should explore more.

The Fabulous Tale Of Being Different (by Case Maclaim in Madrid)

Street Artist Case Maclaim

By Case Maclaim in Madrid, Spain for Urvanityart and Ruby Gallery.

Case Maclaim: I believe the actual beauty of fairy tales is that it is up to our imagination how the character looks and moves and that version is not really up to debate, as it is just like a fingerprint, very unique and personal. With this mural in the old, historical city center of Madrid I wanted to try a different approach. So I gave the viewer a new character of a yet unknown fairy tale. I have high hopes that it will encourage specially the young audience to come up with their very own story, in which the lead is a confident, black child in a golden wheelchair and in a self-made mermaid costume.
